Yes, that was the catchphrase of the World Wrestling Federation, and no, I’m not a WWF fan. But I am a fan of raw foods, which are powerful weapons in the war against (1) excess weight, (2) poor health, and (3) low energy.
I followed a raw foods diet for about one year after the birth of my 14-year-old son Dominic. Today I’m going back on that diet, and am starting off with a surprisingly satisfying dinner of vegetable juice and salad.
What’s my motivation for returning to a raw foods diet? Is it that my energy is no match for the demands of raising a large family? Is it that I want to prevent the gradual deterioration of the body that often begins in middle age? Or is it that I want to drop a few pounds before Faith & Family’s Moms’ Day Away, where I’m going to meet many of my writing/blogging heroes for the first time?
