First the Bride* said that the groomsmen could just wear suits in their choice of color. Then she thought it might be nice if they all wore black suits. Then she told me that the Groom** liked the idea of a tuxedo for himself, and tuxedo shirts for the groomsmen to wear with their plain black suits. So the Bride and Groom went to select the Groom’s tux at the tuxedo rental place, where the Bride and Groom were mesmerized by the colors, styles, and accessories, and a salesman who promised them a really good deal for the whole bridal party. That’s when the Bride and Groom decided that all of the groomsmen would wear tuxedos with gray vests and matching gray bow ties. The similarly tuxedoed Ringbearer***, however, would sport a vest and bow tie in lavender, which is a pretty close match to the wisteria hue of the bridesmaids’ dresses.
What? No matching cummerbunds?
